Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using èKeto, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service. Mandatory consumer-protection rules always remain applicable.

Service description

èKeto is a free service that provides informational estimates about whether food and products fit a ketogenic diet. Main features include:

• Analysis of product-label and fresh-food photos, barcode lookup, and a keto score from 0 to 100.
• Detected ingredients, estimated net carbs, warnings, alternatives, and compatibility with optional preferences.
• History, recipes, shopping list, daily goal, consumption logging, and weekly insights.
• History export, operational notifications, and profile-data management.

Minimum age and account

You must be at least 16 years old and use a valid email address. You must provide accurate data, keep credentials confidential, and notify us about unauthorized access. You may not share, sell, or transfer the account.

AI limitations and user responsibility

Analyses are automated estimates based on images, text, and user-provided information. They may be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. Always check the original label, ingredients, nutrition facts, portions, and manufacturer warnings. Do not consume a product based only on an èKeto result, especially if you have allergies or intolerances.

Acceptable use

• Do not use the service for illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, or dangerous purposes.
• Do not upload malware or unlawful, offensive, or rights-infringing images or text.
• Do not attempt unauthorized access, bypass technical limits, or interfere with the service.
• Do not automate requests, extract data, or abuse APIs without written authorization.
• Do not create multiple accounts to evade suspensions or security controls.

Uploaded content

You retain ownership of photos, notes, and other content you upload. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host it, process it with the providers listed in the Privacy Policy, and show you the results solely to deliver the service. You must have the right to use uploaded content and must not submit third-party personal data without a valid basis.

Account deletion and suspension

You can permanently delete your account from the app settings. This removes the account, analyses, saved photos, recipes, preferences, goals, consumption entries, notifications, shopping list, sessions, and device tokens, except data we must retain by law or temporary backup copies. We may suspend or close accounts used in breach of these terms, subject to applicable law.

Availability and service changes

The service is provided as available and may undergo maintenance, interruptions, or changes. We may add, change, or remove features, giving reasonable notice when a change materially affects users. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or absolute absence of errors.

Intellectual property

The èKeto brand, design, software, and materials belong to the controller or their respective licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or commercially use them without permission, except as allowed by law. Photographed brands and labels remain the property of their owners.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damage, temporary downtime, data loss not caused by willful misconduct or gross negligence, or decisions based on an automated estimate. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or mandatory consumer rights.

Privacy and cookies

Personal-data processing is described in the Privacy Policy. Website cookie use is described in the Cookie Policy. Both form an integral part of these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the service or law changes. Material changes will be announced in the app or on the website, by email, or by push notification and, where appropriate, at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Italian law. We will first attempt an amicable resolution. Consumers may bring claims before the court of their residence or domicile as provided by applicable law, and all mandatory remedies remain available.
